Something fishy here. Trying "test drive" requires confirming a string of letters, which when entered in their box are not accepted.

Not risking my money.

Test drive worked OK for me; however, the rate offered is a loser. I got 4.00 at Wachovia this afternoon, the highest bid was 3.70 APY.

The bidders have to do much better!

Hi k2rr,

This string of letters you encountered is to ensure that the site is being used by human beings - it's called a "captcha" and it's a fairly common internet practice. Having said that, if the string of letters wound up not being easy to read you can refresh them to something more readable. (full disclosure: I work on MoneyAisle)

Hi JohnEB,

Thanks for trying out MoneyAisle! As we've only just gone out into the world (we're only in our second month), we've noticed that for some deposits our rates are very high indeed and for some others you can still get rates that are a few basis points higher elsewhere. As we grow our network of banks we expect our rates to get higher still. Thanks again for visiting the site (which, if I may put my marketing cap on for a second, is free and only takes a couple of minutes to try.) The next time you're looking to invest in a CD or a high-yield savings account it may be worth your while to check us out again.

Self-promotion on PCWorld...I'd be worried.
