Should've looked at the Fujitsu line: P8010, B6230, T2010, ST5112). Light, decent speed and graphics, good displays.

Good choice on the laptop. I have no idea why so many people are opposed to Vista. Tweaked right, with 3 or 4GB RAM and a good dual core processor, Vista Home Premium or Ultimate is pretty darn snappy. My HP laptop has an average 47 second boot-up. Granted, that's after a reformat of the drive to rid of all the bloat. Plus, Vista looks eons better than XP and I find it more enjoyable and efficient to use. To each his own, though. I think that some people go along with the "I hate Vista" crowd just to think they're techologically cool or something LOL.
