Awesome post!
Just a side note, though, there's a new program out that can strip the DRM off iTunes music, called Requiem 1.7.3, and it works with the newer versions of iTunes. It doesn't convert them to MP3, however.

I've tried to reprogram my remote without success. I have the same Motorola remote pictured and a Motorola DCT6400 using Comcast as provider. Works fine till I get to assigning a key for "skip" function. There is no "A" on my remote or other alphabet for that matter. Nor can I see where they might be on the remote pictured in tech tip. Tried another key, "1" as I rarely use the number pad to navigate channels. All without success. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Concerning the "Add Capacity to a 20GB xbox 360" hack, exactly which DOS image file do I need to download and mount? When I click on the DOS image file link within the article I see a few different files. This trick would be very useful, I hope I can successfully complete this one!

I have a Motorola set top box from Verizon. It is model 6416. My remote does not have a 'setup' button. Any suggestions?

I have the same remote as pictured and used this hack with success on both remotes. The "A" on mine is the button to the left of the page up key and on mine is labled Lock. It has a yellow triangle and an A in the center. Good luck

I believe I have the same model as jimmoor. I am in Canada and have service with Eastlink and a Motorola box. The complete model # is DCT6416 III.
I do not have a Setup button either. Anyone have any ideas how to do this?

No "setup" , try "program"
"1" or other key is pre-assigned and may be unchangeable--Look for a user settable key such as F1, or F2, macro, or a PIP action key if your converter does not support PIP functions. Also try the reset/clear function process (994 then double tap chosen key) prior to assigning the numeric function noted.
Does anyone know of a resource for other "discovered" or "undocumented" numeric functions which can add functionality to these type of remotes?
