I feel they should make a hybrid version of Instant On. They could employ the Instant On the way it currently it. However after it starts, it could continue to load the full system on low priority in the background. That way if you need to surf the net, you can do so in a few seconds. However after a 5 minutes or so the full computer will also be done loading.

It's a step in the right direction, but full access instant on should be the goal - in less than 10 seconds. Trim the OS fat, use NAND memory for the Kernel. It can be done.
