I have a better idea. Why not get there network actually working properly again. Everyday that goes by there services get worse IMO do to all the bandwidth being spent on all there services they offer now. When they first rolled this all out in my area things were great. Now over time the cable HD TV services is terrible as the signal breaks in and out all the time, Internet has to be reset or times out all the time now and I've talked to numerous people in my area and they are all seeing the same thing. To yet now have put/allow folks to use more bandwidth is just stupid let alone the extremely high price for this service. Who in there right mind beside a business would be dumb enough to spend over $130 a month just for internet access.

Well, Here in Richmond, it would still be a no brainer as FiOS offers 50mbps down and 30 mbps up for $89.95 per month. I think the 20 mbps Down and 5 mbps for 48.95 per month. My total bill with Verizon is $109 per month plus the taxes. That includes Internet, TV, and Phone ( no long distance charges). Comcast is losing market share around here. I were a mind to, I could download HD movies til the cows came home without the worry of exceeding bandwidth caps, as there are none for Fiber Optics. Coastie65

I used to have Comcast before I went to Qwest fiber DSL which blew away the comcast alleged 8 megabit speed. With Comcast I averaged 1.6 megabit (~200K) and MAYBE 100K upload at 3am. Qwest is $10/month cheaper and true speeds much higher than Comcast.

First I heard about Qwest building a Fiber Optics system. Other than Verizon, I knew that AT&T/BellSouth was building a Fiber system and maybe GTE. I don't have a clue as to how many other phone companies are getting into the act if any, but it can't be making the cable companies feel too good. coastie65

One thing's for certain, as long as there's a cap, I won't be using their service.

Ok time to wake up & smell the coffee...........
Hi speed is great, but when they start limiting bandwidth what good is it????
AND then websites bitch about blocking their ads, well do you wanna pay your ISP for looking at their ads??
If you think youre not getting screwed in the left ear, think again!!
