Too little, too late.

I've already found the best resource for all my questions to Microsoft issues of all kinds at http://www.freeanswers.com. Great resource that has never failed me.

Where the heck did the Vista Sleep function go to in all the upgrades. That function used to work perfectly, but lately when I try to put system to sleep, it will restart and then tell me that an error has occurred. I sure hope that they get this problem fix shortly.

I don't Understand Really what everyone's Problem is with Vista....I had some problems with Error Messages in the Past, but when I did a Clean Install of an Upgrade from Home Premium to Ultimate and Installed all of the Updates, I hade no Issues, Complaints, or Error Messages. Its what YOU make of the OS.

I am Running Windows Vista Ultimate on a Gateway Laptop...With all of the Fixes in Place and without all of the Gateway inbedded Crap that comes Pre-installed, There are no Issues....And I did the Upgrade while Deployed in Iraq...:D

G4acre - actually he is one of many as most users look at some of the comments and wonder what the fuss is all about.

maz54 - this is actually a discussion area for comments on the article, not an answerline thread. Please start a new question by [clicking here|c-2000] and then on the discussion button. Describe in detail the problem you are experiencing, the make and model of your machine, and how you are signing on. What source are you downloading from and anything else you can think about that may help us solve your problem.

Hi Maz and welcome to PCWorld Community.

Actually, this thread is for people to post comments to the PCWorld article.

If you are having a problem with your Windows Vista, you should post your question in the [c-2000] Forum. This way your question won't get lost within this thread, and more people will be able to see it and then come to your assistance.

I don't know about Yahoo!, but Askville is terrible so I'm glad MS is making some forums. How about making a massive forum for all Microsoft related products?

Because if you do you have these Linux/apple fanboys attacking it like there is not tomorrow and especially in a forum like pc world which has become nothing but infested with apple. If you want REAL SUPPORT go to gamesradar and go under the pc section. Very helpful. PC world has lost its credibility and is becoming a one sided view.

Hi RGeiken

It would be better for you to start your own thread for your problem. Please, see answer #9 from Rgreen, one of our Mods.

To little to late. As for Vista home premium both 32 & 64 seem fine so far (7 mo on 32 and 2 mo on 64). PET PEEVE ... Why is it only the top 3 editions of Vista have the built in fax function that XP had in all editions

Actually, I haven't missed it. Yes you can fax a document on the computer just by clicking Print and then choosing the fax option, but the PC you are working with must be connected to a phone line. Ironically, two of the three editions that have it built in (Business and Enterprise) do not as a rule have most of their PC's connected to a phone line. Network, yes, phone no. However, we have had two comments in the past several months from people who did miss it.

In my case, since my old HP scanner was not supported by HP for Vista, I bought an All-In-One Printer that has a fax included. This way I can fax without bothering the computer. None of the documents I have faxed so far could have been faxed from the computer without scanning in first anyway, since they had signatures.
