Sounds good but where's the threshold, at which point faster processing translates into a new experience?

In my experience, unless you move from a 486 to a current day system spec. (I exaggerate slightly)upgrading cpu, memory etc. does not manifest in amazing improvements in the way my system performs. For example: I'm still reliant on the slowest element in an Internet connection for access speed. My applications can not run faster than I can interract with them. Gaming is a possible beneficiary but here too, the rate at which a game executes cannot exceed human interactive capability.

Assuming one owns a reasonably current system spec. it appears to me that the primary bottleneck in contemporary domestic computing is the Internet. Waiting 30 minutes for a 500Mb file to download is becoming unacceptable.

I agree with TECMIC, faster processors sound good but there is not much you can use the speed on, and you might be better off with more RAM.
Also, why does the United States have the slowest internet service? Other countries have much faster internet and larger wifi areas. Access to the internet should be a priority in the US.
