I've been a Netflix member since October 2008 and recently began watching streamed video on Netflix and the Silverlight player works perfectly for me. Perhaps those users who once used the older player need to reset their browsers and do a clean up of their PC before they go complaining . . . as a matter of fact, until I read this article - I never even knew Netflix used Silverlight . . . but now I do know and once again - every TV show I've watched using the MS Silverlight player on Netflix has run perfectly.

I like the silverlight because I can now watch instantly using my mac. Before I was unable to use my mac without going into bootcamp.

Well, that guy who complained had an XP computer. So it's possible that this computer was old and/or had a weak video card. I believe the new higher def videos do take a bit more processing power. I signed up for a trial to check it out and the picture seems pretty good. Much more than I explected from "online video". I'm using a 64-bit machine. It would be nice if they had more titles however.
