you give .88% as the Linux market share. that number is incorrect, .88% is the number of computers SOLD with linux on them. the number of actual users is much higher. i can name 18 users i know off the top of my head and all of them switched to linux from a system that came with windows.

Apple had 33 years, and hardly made a dent. If they couldn't then, they probably can't now either. It's a has-been. Without Steven Jobs as visionary pioneer, Apple is nothing.

Linux is a non issue. There are no technological advantages, or patents in Open-Source. And until the OSI becomes focused, having hundreds of competing distros, is simply diluting the efforts and creating chaos.

I think like most human beings, our own worst enemy is ourselves... With Microsoft, being its own worst enemy itself. The left hand not knowing what the right is doing.... Not having a coherent focus. Not all pulling towards the same goals. What's going to kill Microsoft is chaos and in-fighting. Going for the satisfaction of the shareholders, or the consumers? Short or long term vision? Which vision? Is there any vison? Now the've lost Bill Gates, the visionary piooneer.

Just my $0.02.
