MagicJack Makes Phone Calls On the Cheap

Three caveats: You can't get a local number anywhere (like Wisconsin); if you have multiple logons on your computer the software seems to get a little confused; and lastly the software is pretty intrusive, refusing to be shut down and popping up the MagicJack window any time you pick up the phone. On the other hand the price is right...

4th & 5th caveats:
4: Most users get an "Echo" when using the phone but only on the magicjack user side.
5: "Unlimited Calls" does not mean the length of call. I used MJ for a month doing basic calls before I cancelled my land line service. Most of these test calls were less than 10 minutes. On most calls over 30 minutes, the phone would just cut the connection. You could immediately call back but don't expect to use this phone for a conference call. Before buying this product, I would suggest you research them online and see all the issues others have had. BTW...happy Vonage user now. It is more expensive but at least it works like a real phone...
