:x The Skull Candy headphones come in all sizes and styles. They are the best one's that my sons use and my nephew and other friends. They are durable and they aren't cheap and don't break easily. That's primarily the most important thing right? Besides the sound quality and they sound is THE BOMBIE!!!

I thought I was the only one who remembered the “Bonephones” from back in the 70’s. I remember seeing an ad for them in “Omni” magazine. A few years ago I told my daughter about them and she asked me if they worked. I said I have no idea if they worked or not because I was just a kid and did not have the money to buy a high tech item like that. So do you know if they worked as advertised?

What about my bulky Panasonic headphones with built in FM radio and a pair of large antennas (around 1972)?
They sounded good but looked like something from My Favorite Martian! Incredibly my future wife of 32+ years met me while I was wearing them and still agreed to go out with me.

I too remember the Bonephone, also having seen it advertised in Omni. Fortunately there was a shop near my Polytechnic in Middlesbrough, England that sold them, so I bought one. Yes, they did work as advertised, although I didn't get the chance to test it out skiing. I used it while doing my training for rowing and found it much better than a cassette player and conventional headphones - while jogging they used to fall off me and at that time the mechanism didn't take too kindly to the pounding. Only problem was that it was radio only. I wish I still had mine, I'd convert it to take a 3.5mm input and use my iPod with it!
