This is news?
"Trent Reznor is considered one of the most innovative pioneers in digital music. He has famously released tracks for free, made bootleg footage available for fans, and was among the first to offer music available through an iPhone app."
Great, now if only the "music" were worth listening to. He has to release stuff for free, because most of it isn't worth spending money on. Like Eminem, it's just low-bandwidth, low talent and mediocre. Sort of a modern-day Grateful Dead.
It's true this looks somewhat arbitrary. iTunes lists a song by Lily Allen entitled "F* you". Pretty explicit lyrics.
I also don't like being told what to look at or not look at, but I don't think mediocrity is worth staging this kind of fight over. And nobody is telling you what not to look at or watch. You can find whatever you want on the Internet. If you don't like iTune's approach, go somewhere else, because your only vote is with your feet.

I feel that I must point out that the entire idea of 'censorship' is a leftist concept because it supports more government control. The right side of the political spectrum wants less government and the left side wants more government. I understand the confusion when you are used to seeing neo-cons, which hijack the republican party but are not in anyway conservative or on the 'right' and simply pretend that they are in order to get support. Sorry to be preachy, but I can't help but say something.

If anybody thinks Apple is practicing censorship, go to the iTunes store and search "slob the knob". What you come up with is some of the most openly pornographic, AND RACIST hip-hop that you can imagine, especially the tune by Reh Dogg. And all of NIN's stuff is there. You go back to 2006, and some of the groupies were complaining about partial albums, but if you look at the song list, the rest of the album was eventually added. Implies that iTunes Store actually reads and responds to complaints, what a novel concept for customer service, especially in this day and age.
This isn't about censorship, there's got to be some legal department nonsense that got inserted into this decision, like privacy issues, plus Apple probably doesn't want to be in the networking space.

I have never liked the iphone, I have always been a PocketPC user and find I can do everything on a PPC that I can do on a iPhone and more such as Remote Desktop Connections, VPN and much more.
