Mozilla does the same thing,
mozilla installer has option " set as my default browser" at very bottom left corner and set by default. so its intentionally done by Mozilla so that there are less chance for to user uncheck that option.

Good for Microsoft! I like a company that can admit when it has a crappy product, develops a new one, and then sells it at a huge profit to the same people who were complaining. Hopefully, it won't just be the same thing packaged in a shiny new box with a stupid moniker like "Windows 7" or something.
Wait a minute.
Seriously, I have grown to like XP. The only thing that would make me buy something different is if it is truly better and not just a re-hash of XP in new wrappings.

Mozilla, Opera, and Chrome...Some one explain to me how you can sue a company for making a FREE product that doesn't even bring in money for your company through advertizing, that is LOSING market share even thought it is installed by default express settings.

You need a browser to download the others anyway. This argument is pointless.

Lunaticchimp, I am humbled by your wisdom! No what you say is SO true! I 100% agree! Wow. BTW, I cracked up when I read your reply. Thanks for the laugh as well. Therapeutic indeed!

That's fine as long as they do their flaming elsewhere.
