Microsoft: Vista Testers Should Switch to Windows 7

Vista development started in May 2001 and officially released on November 8 2006. Are there still people "testing" Vista to this day? Again a weird name in a PCWorld article...???
But everybody that appreciates Windows, should switch to Windows 7. That is simple, clear, and no-doubt.

I actually think (and if you read the article, you get this) that they're trying to gently guide IT folks and other decision makers toward Windows 7, telling them that they'll not have to worry about the change to Vista if they wait "just a bit longer."
Also, they're not going to just sever Vista ties, that'd leave a lot of users in the dark without a flashlight.
Cheers,

Hey Win !!
I have been on Vista for a year now. Before I bought my notebook I made sure that what was in there,
was adequate to run Vista comfortably with no hiccups . Well , my hard work paid off because, in the last
year I haven`t had Any problems with this notebook. I don`t even open XP anymore except to reference it.
It is faster than XP and a lot easier to get around if you take the time read about Vista. I also installed W7
in a VMWare last Jan. It was a nice change but, as far as moving to W7 right away , I would not recommend
it. The only advantage that I saw was that, it uses less resources than Vista does. (32bit). Other than this,
if you are already in Vista, stay with Vista. W7 will only get better in time and when the time comes to buy
or upgrade your present config. then it would be wise to make the jump to W7.

Hello Flashorn!
Maybe I'm a little too enthusiastic about Windows 7. But it comes from the heart! My experience with the beta has been nothing but fun and outstanding... I already use Vista Ultimate x64, but simply can't wait for Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I would venture to go out on a limb and state that IMHO, the RC is pretty close to GA quality. I do not expect any major catastrophy based on the evidence running the multiple betas. I am that convinced.
Now I apologize if that is a bit too heavy handed for some? ;) The best option IMHO is for everybody to make up their own minds, based on an educated and open-minded decision metrics as they perceive it, and not hearsay from anybody, including ME!
Please enjoy!
