Yes, I think that the 1000HE is the best unit out there. I did a lot of research before selecting it.
It has the newer N280 1.66, 6 cell battery and Bluetooth built in.
The only things I changed were upgrading the ram to 2GB and replacing the 160 GB drive with a 64GB SSD.
I get about 8 hours of battery life and it does everything I need in a Laptop.
I started using netbooks with the EEE PC 701 and this one clearly built on the "lessons learned" on the earlier models.

If I had the money or need for a netbook I'd probably nab the Sony P Series Vaio. 1.4 lbs.2 (with standard battery) 9.65"(W) x 0.78"(H) x 4.72"(D). Smallest and lightest netbook out there from my understanding.
60GB HDD (128GB SSD avail.)
2GB RAM
4 hour life (8 hour upgraded)
MS Pro and SD slot
802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth
1600x768 reso on 8" screen
Very good specs for a netbook, but it is $900 which defeats the purpose IMO.

I find that Asus eees are usually neglected in netbook articles. I set up an elderly friend in another country with an early 701 2gb ssd with wireless and we have no problems using SKYPE and she can get her email, view photos etc. I just bought an Asus 8.9" XP Celeron at Best Buy for $249 so the laptop can stay home and I can do whatever I need on the road. What a relief; fits in my purse. These little $-saving, shoulder-saving gems are flying off the shelves for those who know we're not looking for a desktop or powerful laptop replacement.

We will need 1.000.000 or so for 15.000.000 K12 students in Turkey some low cost netbooks.
Ram 1-2 GB
Screen 8.9
Storage 4 GB
Resolution 1024 x 600 a must, windows XP
Price $ 210 - at most $230
Paid at the time order . 100.000 per month delivery

Can I suggest that you think a bit more before responding.
Resolution may not be an issue to you, but it is to me and many others.
It is one of the more important considerations to me
If it doesn't matter to you fine, get whatever you want.
I have good eyes and strongly prefer larger resolution.
1024 x 600 is just too small - especially in the vertical dimension.
I run desktops with dual 1920 x 1200 monitors - at a minimum.
I realize laptops and espicially netbooks will necessarily be much smaller, but companies are just cheaping out and are not even offering any better resolutions.
