Maybe you should include the best of the competition:
The HTC Touch Diamond 2
www.htc.com/www/product/touchdiamond2/overview.html
This phone rocks. 5 megapixel camera, unlocked as cheep as $489. Only one down fall...low on the internal memory, but accepts MicroSD 16Gb.
Palm's hardware will always be slow. They are very new to the mainstream multi-media devices market. I am forced to use one (whatever the latest treo model is) at my job, and I want to throw it into the parking lot everyday. The only way to make this device better is to put Windows Mobile on it. One plus Palm has the most experience with touchscreens.
And the Blackberry Storm 2 was a bad idea after the first flop. You list it as GSM Quadband compatitble? It will be a verizon ONLY model, meaning that it will be stuck at CDMA! Blackberry's web browser is horrible, my wife uses a Pearl, the browser is compatible with about 60% of the web pages.
The only real competitors to the i-Phone are the Nokia N-97 (again some browser compatibilty issues), your price point it is way off (as cheap as $599) and the above mentioned Diamond 2. You should also consider listing proccessor speed on your comparison chart.!

The BlackBerry Storm 2, same as the previous model, should come in a European/World version as well, which supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900. The US version of the Storm carries the 9530 number, while the world one is 9500.
The processor speed for the new iPhone or the BlackBerry Storm 2 are not available as of yet, but the Nokia N97 will have a ARM 11 434 MHz processor and the Palm Pre a OMAP3430 is typically clocked around 600 MHz.

I'm not sure why everyone is underrating Blackberry Storm. I heard that there was a lot of criticism when they released a software update. This one confused me because Apple has had multiple updates and most other smart phones do as well. I'm not saying that there weren't issues with the first Storm, but Apple had a lot of those same issues as well.

Daniel,
I am shocked! The Palm PRE will be a Sprint PCS exclusive - EVDO Rev A data not GSM/HSDPA as listed in your specs comparison. I've also heard that the Blackberry Storm 2 will be a Verizon exclusive. Furthermore, AT&T's data plan may be $30/month, but you also have to have a voice plan with the iPhone and I believe they still charge extra for SMS.
Not your best work.

@OldCoasty
Same as with the BlackberryStorm 2 clarification I have posted above, the Palm Pre will come in a GSM/HSDPA version as well, which should be available worldwide. EVDO Rev is usually a specification only for NAM devices.
The iPhone data plan, on the chart it says "from $30" which means that that is the starting price of the plan. And indeed, an unlimited plan for the Palm Pre (Sprint Everything) would cost you approx. $100/month and the same for an iPhone 3G would be $150/month.
As for the BlackBerry Storm 2 being a Verizon exclusive, I believe Verizon is listed on the chart as the device's carrier. Elsewhere in the world, Vodafone (who owns 45% of Verizon) is expected distribute the phone.

The Storm is also distributed to 2 different carriers in Canada and 1 in Italy. The Storm is an awesome phone in it's own right and should be available on other carriers, the same goes for the iPhone (in talks for more distribution than current) and the Pre. These are popular phones and really should be available to more customers because everyone usually prefers 1 network over the others, however slight that may be.
On an interesting side note, in Japan the iPhone is a flop because it doesn't have the features that the customers want.

I'll save you the epiphany and just let you know that Windows Mobile on the Treo does not make the Treo better. It's slower than PalmOS and when it locks up - it locks up for good. No phone, no data, nothing until you discover it and reboot it.
Yes, it's a charmer of a phone to have when you really don't want to be on call.
