After Defragmenting my FAT 32 HDD, i am not able to read image files whichi could read earlier. The image files can be loaded using Daemon or Alcoholor any other tool, but on clicking, a message saying the content iscorrupted appears. The image files are >4Gb and exist as a .nrg file of3.99gb and .nrg.001 file of the remaining size (Filesystem being FAT 32).Help me... I very much want to load these image files and read itscontent..

Disk defragmenter(DD) checks the hard disk partitions for errors before defragmenting them. For your case, I believe DD told you that there were file systems problems and used Scandisk or chkdsk to rectify them. Either the file system of your HD is damaged or your HD is physically damaged. Either way DD or scandisk would mark out unreadable files, salvage any available data, and save them as 001,002 and so on. I am sorry to say that but it is extremely unlikely that you can recover the data of the image file.Is the original size of the image file more than 4 GB? If this is true, the file will become unreadable in the first place as FAT32 has a 4 GB file size restriction.
