How do I completely remove Firefox from my laptop? I want to be able to do a clean install of Firefox, but when I do, it already has my old add-ons and themes. I use CCleaner to uninstall it and I also remove the file from Program files? I want there to be absolute no trace of Mozilla Firefox on my laptop. Thanks for you help in advanced.

Why wouldn't it be better to uninstall it from the control panel under add remove programs?

I'm assuming you had it installed on your C: drive. If so, do the following:Open Windows Explorer.Go to C:Program Files and remove the Mozilla Firefox directory (and all of its subdirectories).Go to C:Documents and SettingsUsernameApplication Data (where Username is the name of the user account), and remove the Mozilla directory (and all of its subdirectories).Go to C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersStart MenuPrograms and remove the Mozilla Firefox directory. That should take care of it.

I am happy to say that I am submitting this reply on a fresh and brand new Firefox. Thanks everyone.

And was it slow! Absolutely teasing me to scold it. Did exactly as mcbarker and geekworld advised. Then found that I had deleted the downloaded zip.exe file also but found a Firefox 1.5 and used that to somehow upgrade to Firefox 2.0.0.1. Firefox is much much faster now. Had about 50 extensions on the former and am now quite cautious about adding extensions without consulting the users reactions. Very HappyThank you. Everything looks different now.from Fukuoka, Japan
