Well, maybe just a bit more...
In the cat and mouse game, who wins? There are still cats dying from something other than starvation and there are still mice. At the end of the day, the cat gets food and the mice live on. It's a deadlock.
Same thing here. At the end of the day, Hollywood is going to get it's gazillions and the serious movie buff will fill his/her collection with movies he/she hasn't paid a dime (or not much more) for. Hollywood gets a new protection? Fine, the hacker types will eventually figure it out, break it and then go to one of those rental services, rent it and burn the thing.
An expense of spirit in a waste of shame...
