So, how would people feel about a software product that advertised the ability to crack password protections on files and other objects with no technical skill required? The product is out there, for sale, to anyone that buys it, and advertised by PC World! While it is advertised for use by individuals who have forgotten their password, there is nothing inherent in the program to prevent its use by a total stranger. There is NO security on its use and no trail is left by the user. Suddenly, all of my "secured" information is subject to being unsecured.I would have thought that security considerations would have at least mandated a warning of some kind sent to the parent corporation so they could confirm its legitimate use. No such consideration was made. Am I alone in thinking this is problematic?Kenneth L Salzman, PhD
