I agree with you, pajkson: Vista is the razor's edge. I am rather disappointed in the raction from most Windows user, however - they are not all that impressed. I'm guessing that most of the nay-sayers have never used Vista before...or simply don't know how to use such a powerful tool. In addition, everybody is crying about Windows stealing the nice graphics from Mac OS X...can anyone say Taskbar? The Doc looks alot like it...Alot of great ideas are "borrowed" froim outside inspirations; for instance, the GUI that Apple stole from Xerox PARC...Having the idea first doesn't guarantee success - fast delivery of a better product does. Vista's been on the map for awhile with no rock solid destination until recently - and it's more than worth the weight.

:D...I can't wait to try VISTA. I know I will like it, and I think this year will be a good year for MSFT stock as well! I am building a new beast of a machine right now and can't wait to install VISTA on it...Direct X 10 will allow games to get even better! As far as companies copying other companies, that is why capitalism rules the world. Without competition we would still be using Win1.0. Look at what AMD did to Intel!! Now it is AMD's turn to try and one up intel and I love it!

Mmmm... no. It's more like most of the naysayers have taken a look at Linux and realize that Vista is not that big of a deal. It's better than XP, sure, eventually it will be reasonable to upgrade, sure. But is it a revolutionary new paradigm shift that will change the face of personal computing? Nah, more like bringing Windows up to date.

...mmmm, Linux...Apple's OS, Windows, it is all personal/business choice...mmmm and that translates into 95% of the world uses Windows? I gues AMD has a better processor than Intel, and ATI/AMD has a better GPU than Nvidia? And so and so on, I love capitalism! However, I will stick with MSFT, NVDA, INTC...They make me money so I buy their products. I do not waste time with splitting hairs, VISTA will bring in more money to MSFT than Apple is worth. If MAC Linux were truly better, market forces would have figured that out long ago...They make good sub-cultures and stuff and that is cool! :D

Vista is not better than XP Vista does not rule its slower than XP it makes us re-learn rudermentery tasks and it should still be in the bata stage! the only thing it has going for it is that its harder to hack than XP
