FreeWare tools and Utilities for Windows

Hey Everyone!!

I was looking for a small program that would show me all the ports that are opened on my PC.

As I was Googling, using different word combinations , I came across NirSoft . This site offers a

smorgasbord of small utilities including what I was looking for.

Here , you can find small programs for

Now, I didn't try ALL of them as there are so many but, the one I did try , "CurrPorts" , an exe. ,

did in fact reveal all of the opened ports on my PC.

So, if you are in need of a small program that works , go to NirSoft and try some out.

And All are free.

I'm glad you found these. I love downloading utilities. I don't know why.

Do you know who I should write to in order to ask PC World to test them for viruses and the like?

Oh that's sorta cool but it tells me that no matter what I do to protect my PC, the attacker will always have an open port to get in through. I thought I was protected with all my security software when connecting to the internet ;) :D
