Why would anyone pay for T.V.?
I can already download through Adobe and other services for free.
When are these guys gonna figure out the time for paid content is past. We currently live in a world of high bandwidth where people download on demand content. Zune and Nbc and other content providers need to figure out how to get my money through advertisers because I am not going to pay for TV.! I will happily download movies from itunes for 3 dollars though, because movies are usually better produced. Not T.V. though. I haven't paid for TV in 20 years. Why would I start now. Especially with the low quality programs that are being produced these years.

Sorry guys. Get with the times.

NBC, that vast wasteland has already shown itself to be run by idiots. This is something they already have in common with Microsoft. I'm gonna buy a Zune to watch a reality show? Me, I'll stick to Apples and TV's.

Scratboy, you might have seem a Zune and mistaken it for a Ipod. The smaller versions of Zune look almost like Ipods.
I personally like the Zune and Sansa better than Apple's Ipod. I can easily transfer music, pitures, and video to the devices, while with the Ipod everything has to be converted with Itunes software to play on it. My wife uses her Ipod Touch more to check e-mail than to listen to music.

The dolts at NBC amaze me; its almost like they want to tank the network.. The zune market is infintestimal compared to iPod/iPhone, so even if they charged a tenth with Apple, of what they will charge with Zune, they will still make several times more, but anyway, no one is going to pay for individual T.V. shows beyond $1.99. Everyone will be streaming channels via their mobile phones soon, and with subscription individual shows will be pennys.

EFF YOU NBC!! I hope you enjoy your vaporware revenue from your narrow-minded stinginess, with the vaporware kings that also produced that OS killer known as Vista.. as in "asta la vista Microsoft".. so back to my point.. You're all INSANE if you think you'll make more with those freaks at Zune. There's a great concept called in retail called volume sales. I don't expect you'll see much of that, or profit to go with it since the Zune is doomed anyway.

I normally record shows like Battlestar and Chuck on my DVR. But when I miss a show I've bought them off of iTunes in the past. If the networks don't want to sell me the shows for my iPod I guess I just gotta torrent.

I recently won a 8gig Zune. Much to my suprise, I LOVE IT. I never would have thought Microsoft could have designed a better interface than Apple, but they did. My ipod is tedidious to use after one day of being spoiled by the Zune. I know the Apple fanboys will never open their minds to anything but Apple, for a long time I was the same way. Luckily, I have seen the light. However, I still have my ipod since Apple's crappy DRM won't let me listen to the music I PURCHASED on another device. I won't however be purchasing NBC shows...there is no point to watching substandard TV even if it were free.

I love my zune, and I can tell you I wasn't planning on getting one either. Just happened upon a brand new 30gig one for $80 at Chistmas. Wouldn't have it any other way. As for paying for episodes, screw that. It's only a matter of time before they encode expiration dates into the download so it only lasts for a week. I'll stick to renting my movies and encoding them.

I agree with hydrogen. Apple continues to exhilarate and innovate and it's extremely difficult to go for the underdog in the tech industry because of volitility.

@hydrogen, the imature....i was only pointing out that the zune interface is better and the ipod enslaved will never admit it. I appreciate your making my point for me.
