Reliability and Service: The Best Companies to Buy From
Dear Laurianne McLaughlin,
Can you please email to me the "numbers/percentages" used to create the impressive chart at:

I'd to create an informativereport thatshould inspire African OEMs to take note of product performance and enhance reliabilty for the local markets. Thanx a million, you guys are doing just great!:D

I bought a Cyberpower desktop computer And it has been a night mare!!! Do not buy from them unless you want to throw away your money and more a lot of your time! I ordered a top of the line system with the best parts. However It never worked and I ended up paying for shipping, windows upgrade and then I had to Pay again to ship the thing back again. You would think that if they are shipping back after supposedly fixing it. There would be some change but there was none. Build your own your better off :)

quote="maddogjohn" I just ordered a top-end gaming pc from Cyberpower. Has not yet been shipped. Could "jblissjr" tell me what components he ordered in his PC: motherboard, CPU, hard drive(s), memory, power supply, operating system, etc? I'm curious to see how my configuration compares in anticipation of similar problems.quote

I just got my CyberPower PC $3,000.00 worth of equipment. All the front USB, Firewire, audio and Mic port were DOA. No Powercord was shipped with the unit and they shipped and charged me for a router. I paid extra for 3 day build out it took 6 and they would not credit me the full fee. As far as the front ports theyguy what it would take to said they would send me the parts and I could install or ship the unit back and they would fix, but would not express ship it. I use the system for work and my other system died, so I need i back quick. I asked a harware to put in the parts, he said 3 hours. I asked CyberPower PC just to credit me funds for a USB hub and a USB audio and mic connection, but they will not even reply. No one seems to care at Cyber Power PC

The reason that Dell and so many others use foreign customer service men, is that our minimum wage is so high that they can't afford Americans.

Try living in America on minimum wage for a year, then get back to us and let us know if you still think it's too high. It won't even cover your rent, never mind food and other bills.

In a free society where a company can pay what it likes, if you don't like the pay they're offering than you can go elsewhere. But minimum wage keeps people willing to take low pay from getting those jobs. It also invites illegals to take those jobs that Americans can't have.

Re: Reliability and Service: The Best Companies to Buy From

I recently purchased a fully loaded Dell M1730 laptop SLI 8800GT graphics cards, 4 gigs of DDR (only 3GB can be used by vista 32bit and Dell do not offer 64 bit edition!)and so on. The laptop for the first few days was perfect, super fast performance and its all bundled into a great looking package however, there were numerous software conflicts etc and what Dell do no tell you is that the great looking dell light FX system and windows vista SP1 have a known conflict and you will get a loud crackling noise through your soundcard whilst changing the lights and at the start of MP3 tracks and other situations ("Its a known conflict" according to Dell tech support, although during the 10+ phone calls I made to them no one had ever heard of this problem!)

Tech support with Dell is pretty awful and thats being very fair, my company currently has 4 Dell workstations and a Dell server and to be fair these machines have never had any issues but after my experience with Dell's tech support and being told there is nothing they can do about the light fx issue and even if I were to have an exchange I would have the same problem.
I felt let down by Dell considering the machine had set me back over £2000 this didn't seem to matter to Dell and there were other issues but I didnt have the patience to go through the long winded tech support phone calls. Dell's mediadirect kept crashing without reason and it failed to play blu ray discs out of the box (I had to download powerdvd 8 to get those working!) there were other problems but the list was pretty long. To date and after a vast amount of infuriating phone calls to tech support I have been offered a full refund but I will be taking my business elsewhere in future, New buyers Beware Dell now has awful customer service!
