Well, AARP's involvement explains everything. You probably have a bunch of cranky old retirees, that are as impatient as the day is 24 hrs long. These people pick up the phone and put in a service order and expect someone at their door in an hour. I have Verizon service and have absolutely no complaints with their service. I can assure you that Verizon would not knowingly leave a senior citizen without phone service. My mother ( 82 ) has had her phone line pulled down on several occassions and Verizon was pretty darn quick to restore phone service. coastie65
