Several Reported Issues When Sending Emails Through Outlook

Two of my customers have reported anomolies when I send them emails using Outlook.

The first says the message comes to him in large 20 point type and as a single line, forcing him to scroll across the page to find what I said. Maddening!

The second complains that when I send him an email with an attachment, his computer freezes up and he has to reboot. He also reports that if he tries to open the attachment I sent with my email, the machine will freeze up again. He is using a Fujitsue ultra compact laptop.

These two problems are probably some how related, but I have not a clue as to just how. Somewhere out there, there must be an OUTLOOK expert who relishes debuging this kind of puzzle. I sure would appreciate knowing what the solution is.

Lately, I have seen another interesting phenomenon. At the bottom of my email, I typed the name of my company, CMIS, INC. just under my name.

CMIS, INC. was replicated in the received email, centered, and in 24 point bold type inside a box.

I suspect all three of these may be related. I am not certain just how.

Thanks for your input.

Re: Several Reported Issues When Sending Emails Through Outlook
Hi Claude and welcome to the PCWorld Communities. :D

First, a few housekeeping points. I have changed your Discussion title to give a clearer indication of your question. For future reference, please be as descriptive as possible in both the heading of your Discussion as well as the post itself. Also, for your privacy and security, please do not post your personal information within the public area of the forums, that includes any business emails or affiliations. If you would like, you can make a signature with that information. If you are not sure how to make a signature, please let me know and I will be happy to assist you.

Now, if I noticed three separate issues within my Outlook email account that appear to be related, the first thing I would do is delete the existing email account and create another one to see if the issue follows the email account. If it does, I would contact your email service provider and detail your issue with them.

Other than that, do you have any security applications that scan both your incoming and outgoing emails?
