Vinyl as in old vinyl records...33s and 45s, etc. That old, old, old, old technology of music from even before the time of 8 track and cassette tapes!

I had paid lifetime fees to ensure that I received all subscriber upgrades for years to come, of which the most enjoyable action was recording vinyl albums from my turntable to the computer. Have you talked with those yahoos at Yahoo (pun intended)? While it might not get you ability to record your vinyl records back, I would think they should be honoring your "lifetime" of upgrades (unless you were killed and are now part of the undead such as a vampire, which they really are for not honoring what you paid for and trying to suck more blood, aka money, from you, or a zombie
). If you want to make an issue of that, you might try emailing onyourside@pcworld.com about that issue.As to the recording your vinyl records, if they have removed that feature, then you will have to find other options...paying for a set of lifetime upgrades does not guarantee a feature set. If your record player goes into an amplifier/receiver that has a standard output, then you can just get some sort of cable that goes from the amp/receiver to the audio in on the computer. Then all you would need is a standard music recording program such as Audacity. If you don't have an amplifier/receiver, then you need something to "boost" the output of the turntable as record players are unamplified typically.
