I am looking for an alternative (and free) app to Adobe Professional 6.0, which I use for the following functions:
1. Converting Word docs, web pages etc to PDFs via the native apps print function
2. Reading and highlighting (like a yellow highlight marker) documents
3. Exporting said highlights, either as PDF or Word, to use as an exec summ of the longer original PDF

I'm looking for an alternative because I cannot get Adobe to terminate
acrotray.exe and acrodist.exe when it closes - I have to manually kill
them with task manager EVERY TIME I use a PDF (dozen a day!)
