Now, Windows Media Player is a fickle application. Most of the time, the latest codecs are required to play videos properly. The information you presented so far is good; however, we need more information to begin troubleshooting your issue:

• What version of Windows Media Player do you have?

• What Operating System are you using?

• "wmv" is a file type, not an application. When you stated, "I have downloaded WMV again..." did you mean Windows Media Player?

Without knowing these things, the only thing I can suggest at this time is to download and install K-Lit Codec Pack which is available via the hyperlink. Once you provide the additional information, we can begin.

Maybe you can give it a try. U can start by finding out what make and model ur graphic card is.Then surf for the updated downloads. It works for me and I do not have to toggle the acceleration bar.
