IE Menu bar dissappearing...

I'm going slightly crazy. Every so often, the menu bar in my IE window will just dissappear. I dont do anything at all, and it just goes away. When I right click the top (where it should be) there's a checked box next to menu bar! I can usually make it come back by checking the link check box (which is usually unchecked), and it comes back. Also, I've noticed that when that happens, I cant make a right mouse click. I'm not seriously impacted, but it's kinda irritating.

I'm running Windows Vista, Home Premium Edition. My computer is a Sony Vaio, CR series. If you could help me, that would be great! =D

Ah yes, my IE is version 7.

Re: IE Menu bar dissappearing...
If you could post a screen print of this when it happens it would help. Just hit print screen and then open MS Paint (Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Paint) and then click on edit and then paste. Then save as a JPG file and designate where to save it. Then open a posting and click on the little green square above and point to the file and upload. Then insert the image. To post a portion of the screen use the snipping tool also in the accessories area.

I have not experienced this problem nor come across it before. Unfortunately since IE7 is integrated into VIsta so uninstalling and re-installing separately is not possible.

Is this a machine that came from the factory with Vista or an upgrade?

Hey rgreen!!

I found this site a while ago but, haven't looked at it

yet. Maybe you could find a cure. It's for issues in IE7 & IE8.
