Hi piyush, I ran The Witcher at 1280x1024, to see what it looked like and it did real well. I haven't tried that setting with the Crysis demo though, i just kept it at 1024x768. As for puny, I was refering to the overall rig itself. LOL. coastie65

some friends of mine play this on the PC and they love it.. they recommond it to everyone and while there are some things that can still be tweaked they say it is still a fun game overall.. i don't have it yet but i plan to buy it soon
If you are planning to buy it , then get it soon . Its a good one.
This one is the opening movie of the game. It shows one of the nine assasinations that are to be done by Altair (main character). warning - 18+ due to brutal violence, also rated as 18+ by ESRB.
This one is the gameplay video of Altair getting to a viewpoint.
I ll grab some intense fight vidoes later.
Hey piyush, I think I did see the first one. That second one though was something else. I HATE HIGH PLACES. There was some high plces in Lara Croft: Anniversary that game me the willies. The graphics are fantastic in Assassin's Creed, but that seems to be the norm with Ubisoft. I'm just wondering about the game controls on the PC. Itried the PC Demo version of Anniversary, and was not real happy with it. I must prefered the PS2 version as far as the game controls went. coastie

hi coastie. There are tons of high place in this game and altair has to scale all those high viewpoints to reveal the map and tasks. But that isnt much problem here as he is so good at climbing and normally doesnt fall from those places unless you do some deliberate jumping or some guard starts firing at you.
regarding controls - I have, at this time done 2 assassinations out of 9 in all in the game. The controlling is so smooth , it is much better than tomb raider. Earlier i also thought about controls , but that is definitely no problem in this game.
Ok, i finished this one. This is one of the best i have played till date. i wasnt bored at any instant of the entire game , very much similar to cod4 experience. The story is great and the end is full of brain-storming riddles . I found this article - http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=175552 and had to read it slowly to understand all the riddles and codes in the end.
What makes me very happy is that there will be two more games for completing the story . Thats just WOW.
Hey piyush, I just picked up something from UBISoft called Paradise. So far I haven't even been able to get out of the first area. coastie

Paradise - looks like an adventure - tomb raider type game. i just checked , ya its adventure. You must be gettiing the hell out of its settings and resolutions with the 8600.
Yeah, I just can't get the hell out of the first area. There is a fat guy blocking the door, and i haven't figured out how to move his fat ass yet,

I had some oil and a lighter, so thought I'd light the place up and distract him, but that wasn't an option.

Hey piyush, I got Assassin's Creed for the PS3. I put that thing in and WOW!!!. I've got the console hooked up to my 42" HDTV through an HDMI connection. Unfortunitely, I found it to be frustrating right from the git go. I'll get back to it when I have a little more time to work with it. I need to get familiar and comfortable with the controls and navigation aspects. In a lot of these RPGs, I get frustrated and throw the magic out the door. I build up up Health and attack stats and just go in and slash my way through. My nephew just shakes his head as he will use magic at every opportunity, as he likes to keep some distance between himself and the bad guys. I have no problem with close in warfare although I will use ranged attacks at times. coastie

Yeah, a lot of the stuff coming out, you best have a good PCIe card or its no go as they are pretty graphics intensive and you need a good GPU. coastie65
