Re: Firefox 3 - Have you made the switch?
I have no experience with Safari. Smax may be able to give a better idea since he is our Mac guy, and he may even use it on the Windows side. As I said, I have not even installed Opera yet, and have only used FiredFox (as Piyush calls it) for about a year (version 2.0.0.2 is my oldest download).

Re: Firefox 3 - Have you made the switch?
Did someone call me ?
As far as safari is concerned , I had tried it on windows when it was ver 3.0 , somewhere around december last year. Browser was fine and speed was good but the download manager totally sucked. Havent tried the recent builds as i have no intentions to switch at this time or in near future.

Check out the standard acid3 test - http://acid3.acidtests.org/
See how good is your browser. It evaluates out of 100. I posted some results in adama's FF thread here.
They were in this order FF2<FF3<Opera. Didnt test safari , someone using it may do that.

Re: Firefox 3 - Have you made the switch?
Hi Borachonerd,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized SUpport Team.

The Phishing Filter and Norton Toolbar features of Norton Internet Security and Norton 360 will work correctly with Firefox 3. Please close Firtefox 3 and then manually run LiveUpdate to ensure that you have the latest program and definition updates.

Next, open Firefox 3 and if you do not see the Norton Toolbar, click on the "View" menu and then"Toolbars" and make sure there is a check next to the Norton Toolbar.

Thank you,

Mike

Re: Firefox 3 - Have you made the switch?
That's the reason I keep old downloads on my drive. I have FF back to 2.0.0.2, but probably should dump some of them. Here is a link to 2.0.0.15. There are some problems with FF3, but the only ones I am experiencing is in multiple images to this website. Otherwise, it seems to work fine on my Vista machines, and the problem I have is apparently a conflict between the community software and FF3. This laptop is at 2.0.0.15, but FF3 is still on my other two machines.
