I updated to AVG free 8.0 a few weeks ago and have been happy with it so far. I also have superantispyware and spyware blaster as well as windows defender and Zone Alarm free. They all seem to be getting along well and only Zone alarm can update on its own. The others either have to ask for permission or update when I tell them to. While I had no problems updating to 8.0 on my PC, when I booted up my rarely used laptop today and ran it through its updates, I couldn't find a download for free 8.0 on the AVG site. There were updates for the 7.5 and I got them, but there was no free 8.0 listed only the 8.0 that they want you to buy. Where do I have to go to get the download for 8.0 free?
