DVD X Copy and Vista

Here's the best reason yet not to get Vista, DVD X Copy won't work with it. I have an old copy of this program and it is great for making backup copies of movies that I own. Now I find out that it will not work with Vista. Someone explain to me how this is better.

Hi HockeyNut and welcome to the PCWorld Communities. :D

Unfortunately, there is nothing really that we can do for you regarding this issue. DVD X Copy's specific intent is to crack the encryption on DVDs so that one can make copies of movies. The reason DVD X Copy went out of business is because of all of the restrictions placed on applications such as that. Based on this, and the PC World Community Standards, this Discussion will be closed.
