Setting Default Media Player

I recently installed Ifran Viewer to convert files into .ico files to use as icon. Works fine, however IView has taken over as my default player, if I click on a video or music file it begins to play in IView. I have been to the Add/Remove screen and set Media Player as my default player but IView insists it takes priority. I am able to play these files with media player but must first right click on the file and choose the "Open with.." option. When I looked this morning in the add/remove, Media Player was no longer selected as default. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Arctic Sid

Hi ArticSid. Try the steps laid out in this Document Restoring File Extensions Overridden By Another Application within Windows XP.
