Is There a Way to the Data on my External Hard Drive Read Only

Hello everybody,

Am using a 160GB WD Extenal-HD. I want to lock my ex-hdd and make it read-only or say put it in that mode. I would be pleased to know a way to do that.

Re: Is There a Way to the Data on my External Hard Drive Read Only
Most of the files on your hard drive are already read only by default. If this doesn't answer your question, right click on any folder and open it's properties. Find Attributes at the bottom and make sure "READ ONLY" is checked.
