Unable to remove malware--"WinSpywareProtect."

This program came as a pop-up and implied that my PC was infected with named viruses and spyware. Although I did not bite for purchase of the software I have been unable to get rid of a large fixed screen in the middle of my monitor and a second smaller screen which seeks payment if you want to download the full program ro get rid of the alleged viruses, etc. The web site for the software says it is a "PC WORLD BEST BUY." Although the site has a place for you to quiry them, they have been unresposive to requests for how to delete their program. I have tried Spybot and XoftSpySE without success.

Hey explorer2u!!

Welcome to PCworld Community!

I"ll suggest a security scanner called "SUPERAntiSpyware" which should do the trick.

Here is how to proceed .

If you are willing :

First , Download the Free version of SUPERAntiSpyware Here . Click on the blue link.

Then , once installed, you should click on the update tab positioned at the

Bottom left hand corner of the window:

Now that we have updated the definitions we need to configure SUPERAntiSpyware.

On the opposite side of this window you will see a "Preferences" tab. Click on that tab.

Once on the Preferences tab ,click on the "Scanning Control" tab.

This is how I want you to check mark the scanning tools needed to help in

eliminating this threat:

EDIT: PLZ see next post for instructions on how to configure Scanning Tool.

We are having dificulties with the forums.

Once you have configured the scanning control, you will close this window and return

to the main window. Now click on the Scan your computer tab. This is the next window

that you will see:

On the left hand side PLZ verify that the right drives appear check marked in the window.
On the right hand side , choose a Full scan . Then at the bottom of the window choose
Next to start scanning. This might take a while ,depending on the size of your drive.

Once the scan is finished , if SUPERAntiSpyware has found anything , it will ask you to
delete what it has found.PLZ say yes. This will Quarantine the malware.

In your next post PLZ include the name of the malware that SUPERAntiSpyware has found.
