Re: How do I allow some of the cookies?
CCleaner is used to clean the registry and unused temporary files from Internet browsers that include cookies browsing history. The registry cleaner is used for cleaning missing shared DLLs, unused file extensions and application paths. It gets the job done in a second.

Re: How do I allow some of the cookies?
Hi Adama. I personally do not provide software application recommendations; however, LilxKid pretty much answered your question. Honestly, if this does not resolve your issue, you really should test another browser just to see where the issue really lies. We all know you do not like, or want to use, another browser but testing and using are two different things.

Additionally, what is the url to the forum? I use both Internet Explorer and Firefox so I can test this out as well.

Re: How do I allow some of the cookies?
Hi Adama
I just saw this thread and read the previous posts. You may have tried a lot of things in here. A few things from my side that you may try.

Instead of specifically allowing that particular site, Turn on the 3rd party cookies also and see if it goes fine. When you have blocked the 3rd party cookies , it can trouble some sites as smax had also earlier mentioned. When you block 3rd party ones and put the site name in exceptions , then it is different from allowing 3rd party cookies , as the 3rd party "necessary"(if any) cookies are still blocked. This is based on assumption but there cant be any other thing that can create problem here. Just allow 3rd party cookies for some time and see if it works. You may revert back to the old settings anytime you want.

I don't think it is an IE7 issue. The IE7 acts like a magic wand for all websites that are not compatible with other browsers. It opens all. hehe
So try that and post back.

Re: How do I allow some of the cookies?
There is no specific time i can tell you. The cookies will be loaded the first time you access theparticular page on website that requires them. After allowing , just spend some time at that forum and see.

Re: How do I allow some of the cookies?
An update.
Leave the 3rd party cookies option to block only, just as it was earlier. The 3rd party cookies arent a problem here.
You will have to keep that particular site's cookies . Dont delete those particular cookies in future.

I know it will be a hassle to do this as everyone deletes all the cookies on a regular basis. What you may do is, increase this interval to maybe a week or so to clean cookies, so that the posts are editable until a week.

You cant do anything more in this.

Re: How do I allow some of the cookies?
Hi
That is what i told you earlier , the problem is on their side. But now that you have tried it for 4 days and seen it yourself that would have made it crystal clear. Also i guess you have learned a lot new things about cookies in past few days. :D

Two things -
First, since the problem is on their side and not yours , it would be better to keep cleaning all browsing history rather than leaving the cookies alone. This will depend on your personal preference . Consider ther fact that how many times do you need to edit very old posts. Rarely in my opinion. It could be different for all. Then decide whether you want cookies or editable posts.

Second , the rundll command that you have posted seems a bit odd to me. The command is fine but the ending is not familiar to me. MAybe i am not aware of this but it doesn't come under standard commands. I personally use a slightly different command for cleaning out all IE history and i have it as a batch file so that i dont have to type it all the time.
Again two ways of doing this - one is by going to tools -> internet options and delete browsing history . Then clean all except cookies there. That would be a bit long. Second is to create a batch file which will do the same but with a single click.
