Did anyone try or play Crysis Warhead

The game is lame lol its like an expansion pack to the first crysis. I was able to beat the game in like 5hrs.. the gameplay was very similar but it was basically what happened on the opposite side of the island during the first crysis so it wasnt really that fun to me anyways. So have any of you tried crysis warhead?

Nope. I got Assassin's Creed for my PS3 and wish I had gotten the PC version. Don't get me wrong, that thing really looks good on the 42" HDTV through the HDMI connection, but I think it plays better ( at least for me) on the PC. I am currently muddling through Uncharted: Drakes Fortune on the PS3. I have seen that game but seeing as how I only messed with the DEMO of Crysis, I haven't really given it much thought. I'm not really an FPS type anyway. coastie

No i haven't played it yet but I plan to get it. I m just waiting for the Far Cry 2 release , so that i have two FPSs together. I watched a couple of trailers of Far Cry2 and a developer diary and i was impressed by the work done. Lets hope far cry 2 beats far cry in every aspect.

Yeah especially the way that you get forced into the same ending no matter what you do. I'm really looking forward to Fallout 3 and Dead Space. The aspect of a Roll Playing FPS looks especially interesting in Fallout 3, and Dead Space looks amazing.

To answer you question, Lilx, I haven't played it but when I get a good enough rig to play Crysis I'm going to get it too.

Re: Did anyone try or play Crysis Warhead
okay you were right , the game is much smaller than crysis. A few new things added - I loved the grenade launcher weapon , there were new protector aliens shielding others.
I was happy to see that the ammo is lifted automatically in this one unlike crysis in which everytime you had to press the F key to take ammo. A thing similar and good in both games was the last fight with tonnes of flying big aliens. The gauss rifle was just too good in the end battles.

I haven't even tried the first game. I'm afraid that my video card would provide minimal excitement.

Nope. I tried the DEMO of Crysis, and worked my way around to the Camp and ran out of ammo, so got whacked. That was all I wanted.

I Haven't (At the moment I couldn't if I wanted to), but I do know it's under fire because it uses SecuROM. :|

Also is the same with FarCry2 :(

Re: Did anyone try or play Crysis Warhead
Out of curiosity how does Crysis do (Like what setting did you have it at for it to be playable) on an 8600 GT?

For the fun of it I tried the Crysis Demo on a ATI Radeon Xpress 200; at the lowest setting and resolution I probley averaged around 7 FPS. :)

That is the chipset that is on this thing. When I first got it, every game I tried was crashing and I was ready to throw it out the door. I bought a 7600 GS and didn't have any problems after that. When it went south I got the 8600GT. I played the demo with everything cranked up, BUT with the AA turned off. I don't know what the FPS was, but it did well. No temp problems either. coastie

I played it at medium settings at 1280X1024 on the 8600GT . Was getting around 40 fps at this. Anything lower than 30 for this game, you cant shoot the quick aliens.
