XP SP3 - ways to roll back?

I am about to update to XP SP3 from SP2. In event I have problems or decide do not want to keep SP3, I am planning following as way to restore to SP2:

1. System restore point
2. Regedit export/backup
3. Use add/remove programs

Does anyone see any potential problems with this strategy or have alternate suggestions? Thanks

Hi :D


You should be able to remove SP3 from Add/Remove Programs . In any event that something goes wrong, backup your data before hand.

I'm pretty sure SP3 creates a System Restore point automatically as part of the installation. Other than doing a backup, I see nothing wrong with the plan.
