Re: Security - Multiple questions thread.
Avast has built in antispyware protection as well as do many so theres no need really for another realtime protection antispyware protection. Just using free one would be good enough

Re: Security - Multiple questions thread.

http://forums.pcworld.com/images/emoticons/grin.gif Hi :

I know of no one "connected" with Avast that considers it a "Suite" ; however, it would be

wise to get "acquainted" with Avast by reading http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html .

All, IF not all, of the "regular" Volunteer "Helpers" on the Avast Support Forums, including

me, recommend having at least 1 antiSPYWARE/antiTROJAN program like Malwarebytes

Anti-Malware, SUPERAntiSpyware, etc . What is known as antiVIRUS companies are

"adding" antispyware/antitrojan "detection" and some of the antiSPYWARE companies are

"adding" antivirus "detection", so the security companies are going "hybrid" .

Re: Security - Multiple questions thread.

:D Hi :

Not definitely sure of ALL the Reasons Avast requires "registration", but recall One time I

think I saw One of the Developers say it was to know HOW many Servers they needed to

provide the Updates . IF "register" is for the FREE Version, it contains a "Declaration" that

it is for non-commercial AND Home Use ONLY and since you seem to have a Graphics

business, I do not know IF you could ethically use the FREE Version !? Another reason

MAY be cause there are some fraudulent Sellers of Avast and occasionally some of their

"Buyers" report problems that we inform them that the legitimate Avast is NOT responsible

and unable to "fix" .

Hi poopsie

Just get Avast, it updates itself, you dont need to read up on it.
Then get SUPERAntispyware it updates itself too, the free one will do but if you wanna pay for pro thats fine too.
