Re: Send Large Files Right From Outlook
I would certainly recommend Velodoc Outlook Add-In over YouSendIt.

1) It is open-source and you can download it at http://www.codeplex.com/velodocaddin

2) It includes features like compressing, signing and encrypting files and it is compatible with FTP servers, Microsoft BITS servers, Amazon S3, UNC file shares and Velodoc Managed File Transfer Servers. For more information go to http://www.velodoc.com and http://www.memba.com

Re: Send Large Files Right From Outlook

Globalscape announced a new software product that integrates with Outlook and Notes. An email client plugin is installed and the user can then simply attach files as they normally would and send them off while the software figures out what to do with it. In the end the attachment is sent "transparent to the end-user". For many this would be great to augment or even eliminate wide-spread use of FTP based solutions. There are other features to the solution but the software idea sounds like it'd be very useful, especially for large networks that want to reduce the burden on their exchange servers.
