yahoo messenger and aero effects


i have never liked the animate windows when min/maximizing action in any version of windows (to me it makes it look like the computer is running slower)

i have it turned off/unchecked it in the performance options > visual effects tab

i use yahoo messenger for webcam chats with friends. Every now and then i'll find that yahoo messenger has turned the animate windows effect back on.

is there any way to stop this from happening?

do you use yahoo messenger 8 or 9.0? I think in 9.0 by default we can't turn off the animation.But if you are using yahoo messenger 8.0 there is a settings calles "Themes" on options menu.There i think you will find something.Not very sure mate.I use live messenger lol..! It can chat with yahoo contacts too.

i'm not sure i'll be using yahoo messenger anymore

video chat frame rate sucks, google talk is much better

well...yes i also found it bit slow in yahoo.By the way I was impressed with live messenger.I have google talk.But i didn't know that i can have video chats with google talk.Is it a new version..?Anyways i am not an experienced user in gmail.

frame rate is 25-30 fps

video chat has moved up to a whole new level in my book
