Re: Internet Explorer
Hi pikeman, You should be able to go to control panel, add/remove programs and get rid of it. You will then need to go back and get IE7 again, unless you opt to use a different browser. You WILL need IE though, in order to get your Windows Updates. As far as the control bar thing goes, Just use System Restore and restore it back to the time before you did it. coastie65

Re: Internet Explorer
I agree with Coastie, System Restore will take you back to where you had everything working well before. Just make sure to make a Restore Point before you actually run the System Restore.

Re: Internet Explorer

Hey pikeman!!

Welcome to PCWorld Community!

OK , If you are to rid your system of Internet Explorer 8 beta 2 , and if you are in XP , then , you will have to

go to Add / Remove in Control Panel like cosatie said, and delete directly from there. If you are in XP then,

Internet Explorer 6 will come back up. IF you want Internet Explorer 7 back then you will have to download

from Microsoft's internet 7 site .Click on the blue link.

If you are in Vista then, Internet Explorer 7 will reappear since this version is part of Vista and cannot be Uninstalled.

Now , for the Command Bar in Internet Explorer, just Right click on the same space as the Menu Bar ( Tools , Edit .Favorites....) and

simply Re-Enable the Command Bar.

BUT, if you are to rid yourself of this version of Internet Explorer , then, the next one that you download

and install will have the Command Bar enabled.
