Software utility to scan drivers

Hello, can anyone recommend a software (if it exists) that can scan the PC and generate a list of hardware drivers. I want to re-install windows on my PC, but I'm afraid I won't have all the drivers / software to get the components working again. It is a no name brand PC purchased from ebay few years ago.

Thanks

Mukesh

Re: Software utility to scan drivers

Hey Mukesh!!

Welcome to PCW Community!

There are a few of those programs but only one (to my knowledge) is completely free.

I'll list them with their respective sites and you can choose if you want to pay or not.

DriverMax . Completely free.

Driver Detective . Only ONE free scan.

Driver Magician Lite . This one free also but with less options.

OK, these are the ones that I know of. I use the full Driver Magician and it does what it says it will.

Take a look at the others and if you have any more questions, I'll be around

Hey Mukesh !!

Well , I'm glad I could help. Yes, Driver Magician works well but, make

sure you really need a driver update. Run the scan and then , check with

manufacturer to see if it matches.

Have fun.
