Repair XP OS-admin paswd not accepted

On Tuesday, last week my computer with Win XP was working fine. The next day, Trend Micro picked a virus. The Outlook looked bleached except for horizontal lines. All services were disabled. I changed the services to automatic and started the above. Yesterday the Outlook looks blanched yet operable. Today, I ran TrendMicro, AVG free anti-virus, Malwarebytes and Windows program to detect malware. The above scans did not come up with anything. I tried to repair the OS using Win CD. The admin passord is requested. The local, domain admin passwords is not accepted, the user nor blank password worked. Any suggestions on how to repair the OS? I could not get repair to work today either-admin password was not accepted.

How about using a restore point ??

Hi Saidfrh and welcome to the PCWorld Communities.

Unfortunately, you may be out of luck. At some point, someone set an Administrative password on this computer and without it, no changes can be made to the BIOS or to the Operating System itself. You may even need this Administrative password to access Safe Mode. As Snorg suggested, a System Restore may be your only option.

However, something is not sitting right with me. The only issue you appear to have is with Outlook. If all the listed virus scans could not find an issue, the problem is Outlook...not Windows. Trying to do a repair with the Windows XP CD will not correct the issue. Please answer all of the following questions:
