MAC PRO VIDEO CARD OPTIONS (HELP)
As told in a recent post, I have finally gathered up the funds to purchase a new Mac Pro. The configuration will be as follows:
*Specifications
Two 2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
4GB (4 x 1GB)
250GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
750GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB (2 x dual-link DVI)
Apple Cinema HD Display (23" flat panel)
Apple Cinema HD Display (23" flat panel)
Two 16x SuperDrives
Both Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and AirPort Extreme
Apple Keyboard and Mighty Mouse - U.S. English
Mac OS X - U.S. English*
My question is, should I buy the Nvidia Quatro FX video card or just stick with the ATI Radeon X1900. Financially, money isn't that much of a problem to me, as the Nvidia is $1600 more, but its more of an issue if I really NEED the Nvidia. I do a lot of graphics editing and website / movie editing for my job, but as I am not familiar with the hardware configurations of a Mac, I would like to know which one I would benefit more of.
