Integrating a wired with a wireless network

Over several months I have been trying to integrate my wireless network with my current wired network. I cannot see any other computers on the network via the wireless network. I can get online through the wireless router but I cannot see other computers on the wired network. These machines that are wired are all visible on that network, but with my notebook computer they are not there... Any advice, ideas??

Your setup should look like the following
Modem > router > switch (if any) > PCs , wired or not.
Then make sure that all PCs are on the same subnet. You should only be using one router and one DHCP server if you are using DHCP. Static IPs can be used instead.

Any router has a WAN port. That gets connected to the modem. At least that's the way I like to do it. It makes things a lot easier.
It doesn't matter if the router is wireless on the LAN side and it doesn't matter if there are servers on the network of if they are all workstations. The only server I have is a FreeBSD FTP and SSH server but it's connected the way I described. It's an in house server only. In other words, no one from the outside can login to it. I use the same setup that I described with or without a server.

How many Internet connection you have? I would assume only one.. Usually if you have a wired network with Ethernet router that connects to broadband modem, you can then set up a wireless network by using wireless access point, you can connect the access point to Ethernet router with crossover cable to become one single logical network. Every computers from wired or wireless network should be able to ping each other.

How to configure wireless router as access point

Hope this helps..
