Microsoft Cuts Support Time for Some Vista Flavors
Like a fool I went out and bought Vista. My computer exceeds all the requirements for Vista, but graphic drivers are not ready yet and many peripherals don't work with new Vista...."WOW".

I took off my computer Vista Ultimate and put back on Windows XP Pro. I consider that an UPGRADE. My computer can do things Vista could NOT do and XP works with all my software and peripherals.

Vista will go the way of Windows ME and I think Microsoft knows it that is why they have already announced a new Windows to come out in 2009.

So don't be a fool like me and get Vista...just wait. The next computer I get may just be an Apple and when I want to play games I'll just get a game console to go with my Mac.

MS just made my decision for me. I'll just keep XP on my machines for another five years. I've thought all along that Longhorn/Vista would be Microsoft's 'Edsel.'

The comparison to the Edsel is unfair.
The Edsel was actually a very good car even though it didn't sell.
Vista on the other hand, is not a good OS.

MS made my decision easy. I'll just keep XP on my machines for another five years. I'm happy with it. I think Longhorn/Vista is destined to become Microsoft's Edsel.
