iPhone Versus Your Phone: Tips to Avoid iPhone Envy
As I keep saying, there are lot of ways, we can try to console others or, when we find more self depressed, we always tend to compare. I guess, the iPhone fever should be gone once everyone holds an iPhone in their hands. There is no doubts that it is one of the best mobile phones that we are going to see But, its the question of whether it meets the customer's intricate expectations.

iPhone Versus Your Phone: Tips to Avoid iPhone Envy
Let's see...I've got a Mazda convertable...let me add some cool aluminum wheels, an expensive stereo system, sports package, and lower the body, get some turbo chargers, leather seats, upgrade the exhaust system, slick paint job. Now stand back and let's see...hey...why isn't my VW looking the same as my neighbor's new Porsche??? These are dumb suggestions for trying to console yourself about not having the lastest iphone stuff. Either you get the real thing or you don't, but don't fool yourself with stuff that will never make your cell phone a iphone.

iPhone Versus Your Phone: Tips to Avoid iPhone Envy
Sad, sad, sad. This is a pathetic attempt from PC people (of whom I belong) to keep other people from the iPhone. SURE, you can go a do all of this stuff to your smartphone; you can go and grab all of these apps for voicemail, photos, web browsing, Google maps and others, OR, just a crazy thought here, buy an iPhone that has it all!! PC people, again, myself included, let's just realize that there are products, even from Apple, that are just plain better - hands down - no contest. Mr. Lasky, it was a valiant effort, but there is no smart phone, not even the Nokia N95, that can compete. And just wait for the revisions. Give Apple another year and who knows where the iPhone will be. More than likely - in my pocket.

Making a Silk Purse Out of a Sow's Ear.

Just kidding...maybe. :P

Best way to deal with the envy?
Best way to deal with the envy is to admit that the iphone rocks, wait till the iphone price drops and then buy one.

I think the article is interesting and people can pick and choose what they might like to use from it.

I think the iphone will raise the bar for functional ease.

Still, I will not be buying one because of the lock-in limitations and price.

I think the iphone will have many failings. Keep in mind though, the positive attributes of the phone do not belong solely to Apple. They belong to us all. Spend wisely.

I think combining benefits on one small device can be nice but if every benefit doesn't top a stand alone device then it's a waste on time.

Summary: There's a catch.

The iPhone is nice and all but I won't be buying one. I don't need a cell phone that costs $500/$800. Hell by the time the price gets somewhat reasonable there will be better phones out. I think it's stupid what people will pay to keep up with the Jones'. hell for a little more than $800 i can buy that nice 1080P LCD HDTV ive been eyeing. I bet it would keep me entertained alot more than a fancy touch screen cellphone ever could.

:?:The Iphone is very pretty and may have raised the bar, but paying $500 or $600 for a phone that is going to be outdated if not by the next generation of Iphones in which the one you buy today or the next round of smartphones or mobile phones is too much to spend for those that had to spend thier last dime. I can afford one but the whole thing is useless right now because you can't use any or all of it's features unless you go with a carrier which there is only one (ATT) which service is crappy to start with. I rather wait untill the two year hold is up and see what is offered. So all in all it is not sad, sad, sad.
